- Avoid using products like Simple Green, Lysol wipes, bleach and other harsh detergents.

- Do not store in sunlight or extreme temperatures, this can change the durability of the Balance Pad.
- Can be used as stand-alone exercise equipment or with other FitPAWS products for dynamic use.
- Do not leave your pet unattended when using the Balance Pad. This product is not a toy and is meant for rehab and fitness use only.

EXERCISE BASICS

Ensure your dog is healthy to begin exercise. Consult your canine health professional before beginning this or any exercise program.

Always check for proper body alignment while performing exercises. Watch to ensure back and neck are neutral. Front limbs and hind limbs should support weight safely. Avoid over extension of limbs, neck, and back.
- Perform an equal number of exercise repetitions on both sides of the body.
- Start slow and build up. 3-5 repetitions is adequate for dogs beginning an exercise program.
- Never over-exercise or over-tire your dog. Always watch for and listen to signs of tiredness or exhaustion.
- We recommend your dog use a safety harness, while exercising on the equipment.
The Balance Pad can be used as a stand-alone balance tool or can be used in conjunction with other FitPAWS rehab equipment.
To use the Balance Pad, simply have your pet step onto the pad and encourage them to shift their weight from front to back or side to side. To increase the Intensity Level, you may stack Balance Pads or place multiple pads side by side.

WHAT CAN THE Balance pad BE USED FOR?
The Balance Pad is a great tool for introducing low Intensity Level balance exercises to pets with low confidence and low mobility. The pad can be used with two to four paws, your pet may need two Balance Pads in order to fit all four paws. Exercising with different paws on the pad at a time changes the Intensity Level and changes which muscles are being engaged during the session.
HOW LONG WILL THIS PRODUCT LAST?
With proper care, this product should last 1-2 years. However, you should always check the equipment before and after each use to ensure there are no signs of excessive wear. Always replace the equipment if there are any signs of wear.
